The preliminary hearing for Cassandra Li Ong’s qualified human trafficking case has been moved to November 18.

Initially scheduled for November 5, the hearing was postponed due to the absence of witnesses in the supplemental complaint filed by the PNP-CIDG, according to Ong’s legal counsel, Atty. Raphael Andrada.

The panel of prosecutors decided to reschedule the submission of the supplemental complaint to November 18.

The PNP-CIDG previously filed additional complaint-affidavits against Ong, the authorized representative of the raided Lucky South 99.

Atty. Andrada stated that Ong’s camp has not yet filed a counter-affidavit, as they are still reviewing the PNP-CIDG’s supplemental complaint.

Ong remains detained at the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong City, facing charges of qualified human trafficking alongside 51 other individuals allegedly involved in the operations of the Lucky South 99 POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
