DFA Confirms Execution of Filipino in Saudi Arabia for Murder

Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega confirmed the report from Saudi Arabia about a Filipino recently executed.

According to De Vega, the Filipino was sentenced to death for the killing of a Saudi national.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) emphasized that the government provided all possible assistance for the Filipino’s defense, but strong evidence led to the death sentence.

The official declined to disclose further details, respecting the wishes of the family in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the DFA continues to support other Filipinos in Saudi Arabia and other countries with Filipinos on death row.

The government is covering legal services for these individuals to ensure their defense in ongoing cases.
