Leni Robredo Sworn In as Naga City’s First Female Mayor

Former Vice President and lawyer Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo officially took her oath today as the first female mayor of Naga City.

In her inaugural address, Mayor Robredo outlined her long-term vision for the city throughout her term, emphasizing citizen-centered governance.

She vowed to uplift the quality of life for Nagueños and promote Naga as one of the most vibrant and joyful cities in the country.

Robredo said her administration will be anchored on eight priority goals collectively referred to as the 2028 Finish Lines.

She stressed that the Finish Lines represent a roadmap that will make every Nagueño proud of their contributions to the community.

Robredo also reflected on the time her late husband, Jesse Robredo, was sworn in as Naga mayor on February 2, 1988.

She paid tribute to his achievements and legacy, particularly his well-known “Tsinelas Leadership” style of governance.

Joining Robredo at the ceremony were her daughters Aika and Jillian, who witnessed the historic moment.

Robredo assured the public that she will fulfill the mandate entrusted to her with dedication and integrity for the betterment of Naga City.
