Arnold Genon, the victim’s father, told Bombo Radyo Cebu that a gravedigger admitted seeing individuals entering the cemetery, despite it being closed.

The cemetery caretaker, Artemio Laputan, discovered the woman’s coffin outside her grave when he arrived at the cemetery around 7 a.m. on Sunday.

Laputan noticed that the tools he had used for the burial the previous day appeared to have been used to dig up the grave.

Upon inspecting the coffin with the family, they found that the body was missing its undergarments, and the clothes were pulled up over her head.
