Typhoon ‘Enteng’ Gains Strength, Batters Vinzons, Camarines Norte

Typhoon “Enteng” has slightly intensified as it hammers the coastal areas of Vinzons, Camarines Norte.

According to PAGASA, the typhoon’s center was located in Vinzons, Camarines Norte, with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching up to 90 kph.

Typhoon Signal No. 2 remains raised in the following areas: Northeastern Camarines Norte (Vinzons, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Talisay, Daet, Labo, Paracale, Jose Panganiban, San Vicente, Basud, Mercedes)

Northeastern Camarines Sur (Garchitorena, Caramoan, Presentacion, San Jose, Lagonoy, Tinambac, Siruma)

Eastern Cagayan (Peñablanca, Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, Buguey, Lal-Lo, Gattaran, Baggao, Santa Ana, Lasam, Santo Niño, Alcala, Amulung, Solana, Iguig, Tuguegarao City, Enrile, Aparri, Ballesteros, Camalaniugan, Allacapan, Piat, Tuao, Rizal, Abulug, Pamplona), and the Babuyan Islands.

Signal No. 1 is raised over Southern Batanes (Sabtang, Ivana, Uyugan, Mahatao, Basco)

Ilocos Norte (Nueva Era, Carasi, Vintar, Adams, Dumalneg, Pagudpud, Bangui)

Abra (Tineg, Lacub, Malibcong), Apayao, Kalinga (Tanudan, City of Tabuk, Balbalan, Pinukpuk, Rizal, Lubuagan)

Mountain Province (Barlig, Natonin, Paracelis), Ifugao (Banaue, Hingyon, Lagawe, Lamut, Mayoyao, Alfonso Lista, Aguinaldo), the remaining parts of Cagayan, Isabela, and Quirino.

PAGASA forecasts that Typhoon Enteng is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
