Tensions in the Middle East escalated following reports that Israel attacked the South Pars gas field, one of the world’s largest natural gas sites jointly operated by Iran and Qatar.

Iran vowed retaliation as counterstrikes continued across the region.

Iranian media reported no casualties at the South Pars facility, while Qatar condemned the incident as dangerous and irresponsible.

Israel has not issued any statement regarding the reported strike.

The incident coincided with Iran’s confirmation of the death of Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib in an overnight strike.

A day earlier, top Iranian security official Ali Larijani was also killed.

Israel has continued its offensive against Hezbollah in Beirut, Lebanon, while Iran and allied militias launched retaliatory attacks in Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

Two fatalities were reported in Israel amid the escalating hostilities.

Some residents in Iran said they now live in constant fear, describing daily life as a near “life‑threatening” experience even when simply stepping outside their homes.

The attack raised global concerns over security and energy stability, particularly because South Pars is critical to the region’s natural gas supply.
