According to Police Major Novalyn Aggasid, Information Officer of the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office, the motorcycle was traveling along the national highway before it collided with the rear of the parked truck.

Both victims sustained severe injuries, leading to their immediate deaths.

Reports indicate that the victims had come from a bar, as police had spotted them earlier during an “Oplan Bakal” operation.

Authorities noted that the truck driver had partial liability as the vehicle occupied part of the outer lane of the national highway, and the area was poorly lit.

Despite this, the victims’ families decided not to file charges, admitting that the victims also had lapses.
