Two Passengers Dead, 16 Injured as Jeepney Crashes Into Two Vehicles in Quezon City

Jeepney crash in Quezon City resulted in the death of two passengers and injuries to 16 others after the driver lost control and collided with two vehicles along Commonwealth Avenue on Monday morning.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the fatalities were not identified publicly, but the driver, Chito Tabilog, was arrested and charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides, physical injury, and damage to properties.

Police reported that Tabilog’s jeepney struck the left side of a transport mini van driven by Geraldine Opalla and also collided with a Toyota Vios.

The incident caused significant damage to all vehicles involved in the crash.

Two male passengers were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while the 16 injured were brought to East Avenue Medical Center and Quezon City General Hospital.
