Two Injured in Collision Between Van and SUV in Cauayan City

Two individuals were injured after their vehicles collided on the national highway in Brgy. Nungnungan 2, Cauayan City, Isabela.

The vehicles involved were an L300 van driven by Victorino Baligod, 44, a resident of Pangal Norte, Echague, Isabela, and an SUV driven by Annavie Albiar, 37, a resident of La Union.

According to information obtained by Bombo Radyo Cauayan, an investigation by the Cauayan City Police Station revealed that the van was traveling towards Cauayan City Proper, while the SUV was heading in the opposite direction.

It was found that the SUV swerved into the opposite lane, leading to the collision.

Both drivers sustained injuries. Baligod suffered a head injury after hitting the steering wheel, while the SUV driver sustained severe leg injuries.
