Suspect and Two Victims Dead After Shooting at a Wedding

Three people, including the suspect, were killed in a shooting at a wedding in Purok 6, Barangay Centro San Antonio, Ilagan City, Isabela.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 AM, according to PCPT Ronnie Heraña Jr., Chief Investigator of the City of Ilagan Police Station.

The victims were identified as Charlie Rosete, 49, a farmer, and Marvin Jake Coloma, 23, married, while the suspect was Arnel Bielgo, a farmer, also married, and all residents of the area.

Initial police investigations revealed that Bielgo suddenly fired his gun during the wedding, hitting Rosete first.

The suspect fled the scene but was pursued by barangay tanods (village watchmen) and local residents.

While being chased, Bielgo continued firing, hitting Coloma, one of those in pursuit.

In response, the residents and tanods threw stones at the suspect, striking him on the head, which led to his death.

Police recovered a .38 caliber revolver at the scene, with three spent shells and three live bullets.

The City of Ilagan Police Station is continuing its investigation into the shooting.
