Track and Outlook

Uwan is forecast to cross Aurora’s coastline between Baler and Casiguran at or near peak intensity. It will then traverse Northern Luzon’s mountainous terrain, weakening but remaining a typhoon as it emerges over Lingayen Gulf or coastal waters of Pangasinan or La Union by Monday morning.
By Tuesday, Uwan will turn northwestward then northward, before moving northeast toward the Taiwan Strait by Wednesday. Landfall in western Taiwan is expected Thursday, followed by rapid weakening.
Authorities urge residents in high-risk areas to heed evacuation orders, monitor official advisories, and prepare for heavy rainfall, landslides, and storm surges.
