SK Chairman Injured in Van Collision in Isabela

An SK Chairman was injured after being struck by a van while crossing the road in San Mateo, Isabela.

The victim, identified as 22-year-old Jonel Ian Senuto, serves as the SK Chairman of Barangay Marasat Pequeño.

The driver of the van, Jerry Vizcarra, claimed that the victim suddenly appeared on the road while he was driving.

Vizcarra said he honked to warn the victim but still hit him, causing Senuto to be thrown into a roadside canal.

The victim sustained injuries and is currently recovering at a hospital in Santiago City.

Vizcarra stated that he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time but admitted he failed to notice the victim crossing.
