A relief mission was conducted by the Lingkod Lapid team in the town of Minalabac, Camarines Sur, on Sunday, September 8.
Through the office of Senator Lito Lapid, coordination was made with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to provide family food packs to around 1,000 victims of flooding caused by Typhoon Enteng in Bicol.
In a brief message, Senator Lapid expressed hope that the food packs would greatly assist the affected families during the calamity.
The beneficiaries, which included senior citizens, persons with disabilities, single parents, fishermen, and farmers, extended their gratitude to Senator Lapid for his swift action and delivery of aid.
Mayor Christopher Lizardo noted that Senator Lapid was the first national figure to respond to the needs of the flood victims in their town.
Vice Mayor Noe Lavandero also shared that the Minalabac Council would pass a resolution recognizing Senator Lapid’s significant contribution in addressing the needs of the town’s residents.
