Senator Imee Marcos has reportedly left the group chat of the 20th Congress Senators, which includes 23 other members.
Marcos shared proof of her departure through a social media post, confirming she exited the chat past 5 PM.
Her decision followed a verbal exchange with Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson.
Marcos expressed confusion over reports that the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee would no longer continue its hearings and would instead release a partial report.
She questioned whether the majority bloc had held a meeting regarding the matter.
Marcos also said she was unclear about the schedule for the first adjournment of the 20th Congress.
In response, Lacson suggested that Marcos should have attended the hearings he organized on alleged irregularities in flood control projects to avoid confusion.
He added that Marcos should pay attention to plenary sessions and read announcements sent through the group chat to stay informed.
Marcos argued that the group chat, hearings, and plenary sessions seemed more like a venue for pressure and political mudslinging.
She likened the atmosphere to something worse than an earthquake.
Standing firm, Marcos declared she no longer wished to remain in the group chat and took a swipe at what she described as grandstanding and infighting.
