SENATOR Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday lodged a formal complaint against former Bulacan First District Assistant Engineer Brice Hernandez before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, following the latter’s allegations linking him to supposed irregularities in flood control projects.

Estrada earlier vowed to pursue a perjury case against Hernandez, who had implicated both Estrada and Senator Joel Villanueva during a House Infrastructure Committee inquiry.

Hernandez claimed that the two senators allegedly received a 30% “SOP” or standard operating procedure kickback from the projects.

In a statement, Estrada denied the accusations and publicly challenged Hernandez to a lie detector test, saying he was ready to prove his innocence.

Both Estrada and Villanueva have firmly denied any involvement in the alleged corruption.
