The Philippine Army, joined by Boy and Girl Scouts, honored departed national heroes, former presidents, soldiers, and other notable figures at a special flaglet-setting and candle-lighting ceremony at Libingan ng mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, on the evening of October 31, 2024.

The synchronized tribute commemorated the “well-lived” lives of soldiers, national artists, scientists, and former state leaders who rest at the heroes’ cemetery.

In preparation for an anticipated increase in visitors, the Philippine Army deployed explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and K9 units, along with signal personnel, military police, and medical teams as part of Task Force Pag-alaala.
