Antipolo City 2nd District Representative Romeo Acop has issued a stern warning to Mrs. Mylah Roque, wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, to comply with the show-cause order from the Quad Committee, or she could face arrest.

Acop stated that Roque has the option to appear and assert her right to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination. However, he emphasized that failing to attend could result in a serious contempt citation.

“If she does not honor the subpoena, the Committee will request an arrest order against her,” Acop explained.

He clarified that the show-cause order serves as an opportunity for Mrs. Roque to explain her involvement in the matter at hand.

Mrs. Roque was absent from the Committee hearing on September 19 due to medical treatment in Singapore.

Surigao del Norte 2nd District Representative Robert Ace Barbers, the overall chairman of the Quad Committee, noted that Mrs. Roque was initially invited to explain her alleged connection to a lease agreement with Chinese nationals linked to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) complex in Bamban, Tarlac.
