Remains of Two Kidnapped Chinese Nationals Found Buried in Cavite

Remains of two kidnapped Chinese nationals were recovered in General Trias City, Cavite, on Friday, February 7.

According to the Police Regional Office 4A, the victims were identified as Rong Rong Hong and her 11-year-old son, Zineng Zheng, who were abducted in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, in October 2023.

Authorities from the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group and local police excavated the remains in Barangay San Francisco around 5 p.m. on Friday.

Police have launched a thorough investigation, and the bodies will undergo post-mortem examinations and autopsies to confirm their identities and determine the cause of death.

On October 30, 2023, six armed men broke into a house in a Muntinlupa village and abducted nine individuals, including six Chinese nationals, who were taken in a van.

Three of the victims, all Filipinos, were later released in Laguna, while four of the six Chinese nationals were found dead in Tanay, Rizal, and Infanta, Quezon, in November 2023.

Authorities arrested three suspects in December 2023, who are now detained and facing criminal charges.
