PNP Identifies Vlogger Behind Fake News on Alleged Raid at Duterte Residence

PNP identifies vlogger behind Duterte raid fake news that falsely claimed a raid by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) took place at the Duterte residence last week.

According to PNP Chief PGen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, the individual behind the videos has been identified, though authorities have yet to release the vlogger’s name.

Marbil assured the public that the PNP will pursue appropriate legal action against the vlogger for spreading disinformation.

Earlier, the PNP strongly denied the accusations, labeling the supposed raid as fake news and confirming no such operation was ever ordered.

Marbil also disclosed that the original video circulated by the vlogger has since been frozen as part of the ongoing investigation.

The PNP-Cybercrime Group revealed that the vlogger was scheduled to be formally charged today for spreading unverified content that misled the public.

It can be recalled that Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo ‘Pulong’ Duterte was falsely linked to condemning the alleged raid, a claim swiftly denied and clarified by the PNP-CIDG.
