Philippine and Indonesian Army Conclude TA PHILINDO-STRIKE IV-2024 Training

The Philippine Army (PA), through the 6th Infantry Division, and the Indonesian Army (Tentara Nasional Indonesia, Angkatan Darat or TNI-AD) concluded the Training Activity (TA) PHILINDO-STRIKE IV-2024 with a closing ceremony held on September 2, 2024, at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

TA PHILINDO-STRIKE IV-2024, a product of the 29th Indonesia-Philippines Army Working Group Meeting, enhanced cooperation and strengthened the armies’ territorial defense capabilities.

The training focused on brigade-level mission planning, counter-terrorism measures, and cross-border terrorism prevention.

A total of 19 Philippine Army personnel and 15 Indonesian Army personnel participated in the six-day event, concentrating on battlespace management, asset employment, and interoperability of military capabilities.

An open forum prior to the closing ceremony highlighted the importance of enhancing warfighting skills through combined operations and reinforcing the bilateral relationship between the two nations’ armies.
