The Philippine Army, in partnership with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Embassy in Manila, commemorated the 74th anniversary of the Battle of Yuldong through a solemn wreath-laying ceremony on April 22, 2025, at the Korean War Memorial Pylon in Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The ceremony paid tribute to the heroism of the 10th, 20th, 19th, 14th, and 2nd Battalion Combat Teams and the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK), who fought valiantly against Chinese communist and North Korean forces during the Korean War.

Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led the tribute, honoring both living veterans and the fallen soldiers who risked their lives in a distant land under daunting circumstances.
Lt. Gen. Galido also extended his appreciation to the families and descendants of the veterans for preserving their legacy and highlighted the enduring friendship between the Philippines and South Korea.
The ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office and the PEFTOK Veterans Association Inc., stands as a reminder of the shared history and sacrifices that bind the two nations.
