The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) is set to hold the final leg of the “PCUP Bayanihan para sa Bawat Maralita (PBBM) Caravan: Tuloy-tuloy na Serbisyo para sa Maralitang Pilipino” this August. This initiative aims to provide continuous support and essential services to urban poor communities across the country.
This month, the PCUP will conduct three caravans in strategic locations. The first will be held on August 16 at the Tubigon Cultural Center in Tubigon, Bohol. The caravan will then travel to the Municipal Stadium (JFD) in Brgy. Guitnang Bayan I, San Mateo, Rizal on August 27. The said activity will conclude at the Dipolog City Sports Complex in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte on August 29.
The PBBM Caravan is part of a broader commitment of PCUP under the leadership of its Chairperson and CEO, Undersecretary Elpidio R. Jordan Jr. to bring government services closer to marginalized sectors, ensuring that every citizen has access to the support they need.
Each event will feature a variety of programs, including health services, livelihood training, and legal assistance, designed to empower communities and improve their quality of life.
“We are dedicated to fulfilling our mandate of reaching out to urban poor communities across the country. This PBBM Caravan is a testament to the commitment of the Marcos administration to providing consistent and accessible services,” said Usec. Jordan.
The PCUP encourages all community members in these areas to participate in the caravan and take advantage of the opportunities available.
