Over 2,600 Passengers Stranded in Bicol Ports Due to Super Typhoon Pepito

Authorities have confirmed the safety of passengers stranded in various ports across the Bicol region following the impact of Super Typhoon Pepito.

According to Coast Guard Bicol spokesperson Ensign Alysa Bermal in an interview with Bombo Radyo Legazpi, a total of 2,607 passengers have been stranded.

Officials anticipate that sea travel will resume once the tropical storm signal over the provinces is lifted.

The agency has deployed 123 personnel to various provinces in Bicol to provide assistance to affected residents.

Bermal stated that no untoward incidents have been reported so far, but the agency continues to coordinate with local governments.
