A total of 212,022 individuals have been identified as affected by Typhoon Paolo, according to the official report from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Disaster Response Management.
This figure represents 66,993 families displaced or impacted by the storm.
The DSWD reported that 659 barangays across the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon have sustained damage or disruption.
Currently, 500 evacuation centers have been activated throughout Northern Luzon to accommodate displaced residents.
A total of 19,777 individuals, equivalent to 6,793 families, are currently staying in these evacuation centers.
Meanwhile, over 8,700 people have opted to temporarily shelter with relatives or acquaintances.
The DSWD also confirmed that 11 houses have been initially identified as damaged, with further assessments ongoing to verify additional property losses.
