A newborn baby girl was abandoned in the restroom of a gas station in Barangay Bulala, Camalaniugan, Cagayan, prompting an investigation by authorities.
According to PCapt. Mary Ann Unida, deputy chief of the Camalaniugan Police Station, officers immediately responded after receiving a call from a gas station employee who found the unclothed infant.
The newborn, whose umbilical cord was still attached, was taken to Matilde Olivas District Hospital with the assistance of the Rural Health Unit staff.
