Motorcycle Rider Dies After Crashing Into Parked Truck in Isabela

A government employee lost his life after accidentally crashing his motorcycle into a parked truck along the National Highway in Purok 6, Brgy. Raniag, Ramon, Isabela.

The victim, identified as Mike, 36, a resident of Brgy. Bugallon Norte, Ramon, Isabela, was declared dead on arrival at the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC) in Santiago City due to severe head injuries.

According to the Ramon Police Station, the Isuzu truck was parked on the right side of the road when the motorcycle rider, heading towards Ramon proper, accidentally hit the truck’s left rear portion.

The impact threw the victim onto the concrete pavement, leading to his fatal injuries. Responders from Rescue 316 of Ramon rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The truck driver, who allegedly stopped to relieve himself, may face charges of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Damage to Property.
