Most Wanted Suspect in Murder Case Arrested in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY – Authorities arrested a suspect listed as the Municipal Most Wanted Person in a murder case during a joint operation in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

The suspect, identified as “Bening,” a 52-year-old resident of Sitio Lambadak, Barangay Lamfugon, Lake Sebu, was apprehended in Sitio Lamsual, Barangay Tasiman.

The operation was carried out by personnel from the Lake Sebu Municipal Police Station, SCPIU, RSOG 12, STTC-RID 12, and 2nd Coy SCPMFC at approximately 11:30 AM, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Romy D. Castañares, Chief of the Lake Sebu Municipal Police Station.

Bening was arrested based on a warrant for murder, with no bail recommended.

Castañares emphasized that the police continue to intensify their campaign against various crimes in the country, aiming to maintain peace and order under the administration’s “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative.
