Marcos Vows Honest Service and More Jobs in Labor Day 2025 Message

Marcos Labor Day 2025 message emphasized the government’s commitment to reward the sacrifices of Filipino workers with sincere public service and more employment opportunities.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured that workers—considered the backbone of society both in the Philippines and abroad—will be honored through the government’s continued efforts to uplift their lives.

In his speech during the 123rd Labor Day celebration, the President said the government is working to create decent jobs and humane labor conditions to improve the quality of life for Filipino workers and their families.

To generate more jobs, the administration has encouraged increased investment in the country.

Marcos highlighted that from 2022 to the previous year, the Philippines attracted $27 billion worth of investments, with over ₱4 trillion worth of projects recorded by Investment Promotion Agencies.

These companies are expected to generate around 352,000 jobs for Filipinos.

The President also pointed out that due to a strong economy, the country achieved its lowest unemployment rate in two decades last year.

He added that the labor market continues to improve, with the unemployment rate dropping to 3.8% as of February this year.

Despite these gains, Marcos reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continuously create more job opportunities for Filipinos.
