The water level at Magat Dam remains normal despite the heavy rains brought by Typhoon Enteng, according to Engr. Carlo Ablan, Division Manager of the Dam and Reservoir Division of NIA MARIIS.

As of 11 AM, the water elevation at the dam was measured at 184.27 meters above sea level, significantly below the normal high level of 190 meters.

However, authorities are not ruling out the possibility of releasing water from the dam if the water level in the Magat Reservoir continues to rise.

The agency will be deploying additional personnel to monitor water levels and strengthen flood forecasting and early warning systems.

Logistics and vehicles have been prepared in case of any malfunctions at their warning stations.

The public, especially residents living near rivers, is advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid any untoward incidents.
