According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Willy Aquidado, chief investigator of the Leganes Municipal Police Station, the victims were traveling from Leganes back to Iloilo City when their motorcycle crashed into the rear of the truck carrying a backhoe. The truck was about to enter a warehouse at the time of the collision.
