President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared the suspension of government work in the executive branch starting at 3 PM on September 23, in observance of Family Week.

This coincides with the “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day, celebrated every fourth Monday of September.

The suspension is based on Memorandum Circular 64, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

However, offices providing essential services such as health, disaster response, and other critical operations are exempt from the suspension.
