Four Injured, Including Two Soldiers, in SUV-Bus Collision in Isabela

Four individuals, including two soldiers, sustained injuries in a collision between an SUV and a passenger bus along the national highway in Barangay Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

The bus driver was identified as Ramil Apatad, a resident of Peñablanca, Cagayan, while the SUV was driven by Sgt. Samuel Agub of the Philippine Army, stationed at the 5th Infantry Division.

According to Gamu Police Station OIC PCapt. John Sarmiento, the bus was heading toward Tuguegarao City while the SUV was en route to Gamu, Isabela.

Initial investigations revealed that the SUV veered into the bus’s lane, causing the head-on collision.

The SUV driver and three passengers were injured, while all bus passengers escaped unharmed.

The injured victims were promptly rushed to the hospital, where they are now reported to be in stable condition.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the SUV’s front section severely wrecked.

The Gamu Police Station is continuing its investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
