Former President Rodrigo Duterte has declared his readiness to face the International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation.
Duterte urged the ICC to accelerate its probe into the crimes against humanity charges filed against him.
He even suggested that ICC representatives come to the Philippines as early as tomorrow to proceed with the case.
During a Quad Comm hearing today, Duterte firmly stated that he is not afraid of the ICC.
He added that the court should hasten its investigation, noting he might die before being questioned over the alleged extrajudicial killings under his war on drugs.
Duterte assured that if found guilty of crimes against humanity, he is prepared to spend the rest of his life in prison.
He also mentioned that he is unafraid of going to hell.
Gabriela Partylist Representative Arlene Brosas had asked Duterte if he was willing to cooperate with the ICC.
