The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) announced that more than 100 Noche Buena products will retain their prices this year, while six items have rolled back costs ahead of the holiday season.
The 2025 Noche Buena Price Guide covers 256 products from 22 manufacturers across 13 categories, including ham, cheese, pasta, sauces, fruit cocktail, mayonnaise, and dessert ingredients such as nata de coco and kaong.
DTI said that 129 items maintained their prices, while 95 posted minimal increases due to higher costs of ingredients, packaging, and labor.
Among the products with price rollbacks are CDO American Style Ham (500g) now priced at ₱170 from ₱174, King Sue Piña Ham (800g) reduced to ₱520 from ₱527, King Sue Piña Ham (1kg) down to ₱637 from ₱643, King Sue Sweet Ham (800g) lowered to ₱449 from ₱450, Danes Queso de Bola (500g) now ₱300 from ₱310, and Sunshine Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce (500g) at ₱48.50 from ₱52.
DTI explained that the rollbacks were secured after consultations with manufacturers, with some ham products reverting to 2024 prices and select queso de bola and spaghetti sauce now sold at prices even lower than last year.
Trade Secretary Cristina Roque emphasized that the price guide reflects the government’s commitment to keeping holiday goods affordable, especially after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered a price freeze on basic necessities following Typhoon Tino’s devastation.
The complete price guide will be posted in major markets nationwide and is available on the DTI website and social media pages. Consumers are advised to check expiration dates, compare prices, and report violations through the 1-DTI Hotline (1-384) or via email at ReporttoSec@dti.gov.ph.
