De Lima Plans Legal Action Against Senator Bato Dela Rosa Over Alleged Drug Trade Links

Former Senator Leila De Lima’s legal team is considering filing charges against former PNP Chief and current Senator Bato Dela Rosa for his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

De Lima stated that her legal team is currently preparing cases against individuals who testified to falsely link her to the extensive drug trade during the previous administration.

Following new testimonies from self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa during the House of Representatives Quad Committee hearing, De Lima indicated that additional charges may be brought against Senator Dela Rosa.

She noted that although she had previously heard claims of Dela Rosa pressuring witnesses to testify against her, this information has only recently been disclosed to the public.

De Lima emphasized that her team would thoroughly review all of Espinosa’s testimonies and identify other individuals who could potentially be included in the upcoming cases.

On October 11, Espinosa testified at the Quad hearing, admitting that Dela Rosa allegedly coerced him to testify against De Lima to facilitate her imprisonment while she was still serving as a senator.

According to De Lima, she plans to meet with her legal team next week to identify the names and details of all cases that will be filed against them.
