The coronation took place on June 3, 2025, following the controversy surrounding Rachel Gupta of India, who was initially declared the winner but later relinquished the title.

Opiaza, a seasoned pageant competitor from Zambales, Philippines, is known for her exceptional runway skills and has helped train other beauty queens in the country.

According to the MGI organization, the crowning ceremony was held at MGI Hall of Bravo BKK in Bangkok at 3 PM Manila time.

Her victory marks the first-ever golden crown for the Philippines, following previous first runner-up finishes by Nicole Cordoves (2016) and Samantha Bernardo (2020).
