According to Yamsuan, this initiative recognizes the vital role of barangay tanods in maintaining peace and order in communities across the country.

Meanwhile, House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas Congresswoman Camille Villar also recognized barangay councilors as the “unsung heroes” of the government.

During her attendance at the National Congress of the Pederasyon ng mga Barangay Kagawad ng Pilipinas (PBKP), Villar emphasized the significant role that barangay councilors play in delivering essential public services at the local level.

Villar noted that barangay councilors are crucial to the foundation of democracy, ensuring that citizens sleep peacefully at night, knowing their communities are safe and orderly.
