A star-studded lineup of artists attended, including BINI, Maki, TJ Monterde, Arthur Nery, Over October, Arthur Miguel, Jayda, Zild, Al James, Ben&Ben, and Hev Abi. Several music acts were also recognized as part of the Top 10 Local Songs and Artists of 2024.

One of the night’s biggest moments was the recognition of BINI as the Top Local Artist of the Year. The nation’s girl group performed their hit song “Blink Twice” and expressed their gratitude to their management, families, and dedicated fans, known as BLOOMS.

Singer-songwriter TJ Monterde was another standout of the night, as his song “Palagi” was named Top Local Song of the Year. Later, he took the stage to perform “Tulad Mo”—a song he revealed was written during the time he was courting his now-wife, KZ Tandingan—followed by a heartfelt performance of his award-winning hit, ‘Palagi.'”

In his exclusive red carpet interview with Star FM Manila, TJ—fresh off his three-night sold-out concert at The Big Dome—expressed his joy and gratitude for everything he has achieved in his career so far.

“I’m just happy to be here. Masaya ako na nandito ako ngayon sa event na to, and whatever’s happening sa career [ko] ngayon. I’m just happy that I’m where I am and kung nasaan ako ngayon, it’s beyond what I’ve ever dreamt of. Happy ako kung nasaan ako ngayon.”

The event also featured performances from rising stars like Suyen, dwta, Nior, Xyvril, and One Click Straight.

Meanwhile, Roslyn Pineda, Sony Music Entertainment Philippines General Manager and PRM Board Member, highlighted the importance of charts in her closing remarks.

“Numbers don’t lie. They tell a story, a narrative that reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion that our artists pour into their craft every single day. With the transparency and visibility provided by The Official Philippine Charts, we now have a clear picture of who is resonating with our audiences, who is breaking barriers, and who is truly making waves in the music scene. This data is critical; it provides insights that can help us understand the ever-evolving landscape of our industry.”

The Official Philippines Chart tracks the most popular songs in the country based on streaming data from platforms like Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, and YouTube. It is part of the Official Southeast Asia Charts, which also include rankings for Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia. New charts are released every Tuesday at www.officialseacharts.com and on social media.

In addition to the official charts for each country, four specialty charts are also delivered each week. In Indonesia, the Official Indonesia Domestic Chart, in Malaysia the Domestic and Chinese Charts, and the Regional Chart in Singapore.

All charts include chart-eligible streams from Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, and YouTube, while the Official Indonesia and Indonesia Domestic Charts also include Langit Musik. In accordance with IFPI’s global chart principles, streams from each market are weighted to take into account the difference in economic value between the free and paid tiers of streaming services. This delivers charts, which reflect the volume and the value of streams across the region, celebrating the biggest songs of the week

IFPI is the voice of the recording industry worldwide, representing over 8,000 record company members across the globe. We work to promote the value of recorded music, campaign for the rights of record producers, and expand the commercial uses of recorded music around the world.

With strong industry backing, The Official Philippines Chart aims to celebrate and elevate Filipino music on a global scale.
