According to Police Regional Office 6 Director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, investigators are exploring motives linked to politics or past personal disputes.

Wanky confirmed they are considering a “politically motivated” angle and incidents involving the husband, including a 1994 killing related to a cockfighting dispute.

Another lead being pursued involves a 2008 homicide case tied to the husband, which resulted from a confrontation with a relative of a former police officer.

No witnesses have come forward yet, but authorities assured the public they are making progress in solving the case.
