Former presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque has dismissed the disbarment case filed against him by former Duterte administration colleague, Atty. Melvin Matibag, calling it a “desperate act of attention.”

The case, filed with the Supreme Court, accuses Roque of unprofessional conduct, including sharing unverified information on social media.

One specific allegation involves Roque sharing a rumored “pulvoron video” of President Bongbong Marcos.

In response, Roque posted on Facebook that disbarment complaints should not be made public, emphasizing that social media is protected by free speech.

He added that President Marcos has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of the video.

Roque further argued that the issue is a matter of national security, claiming it could impact the lives and future of the Filipino people.
