Six of the eight patients have been allowed to return home, but they remain in isolation from their families with regular monitoring by health workers.

The remaining two patients (patient 10 and patient 11) continue to be confined in hospitals.

Meanwhile, the DOH stated that mpox patients without other symptoms may remain at home while in isolation after undergoing testing.

Recovery could take two to four weeks or until the affected skin layers, which had previously developed rashes or scabs, are fully replaced.
