The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has formally requested the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to issue a red notice against former presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque.

CIDG Director Major General Nicholas Torre III confirmed the move, as part of their intensified efforts to locate and apprehend Roque and his co-accused.

Earlier, the CIDG deployed tracker teams to arrest 50 other individuals linked to Roque, including Cassandra Li Ong, for their alleged involvement in the illegal operations of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub known as Lucky South 99.

The Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 118 issued an arrest warrant for Roque on May 15 in connection with an alleged violation of Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

The charges stem from a case filed by the Department of Justice in April, implicating Roque, Ong, and 49 others in human trafficking and scam activities at the POGO facility located in Porac, Pampanga.
