The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has received the second batch of automated counting machines (ACMs) to be used for the 2025 midterm elections. A total of 8,640 ACMs were delivered by South Korean firm Miru Systems to COMELEC’s warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.

According to COMELEC, each ACM underwent a thorough inspection to ensure quality. Machines that fail the initial inspection will be returned and replaced.

Miru Systems began delivering the machines in July. The company has also successfully delivered 100% of the servers, printers, and laptops that will be used for vote canvassing.

Miru Systems, a South Korean technology company, secured the contract to supply automated counting machines for the 2025 midterm elections.

This followed a rigorous bidding process in which Miru was selected based on its capability to meet COMELEC’s technical and operational requirements.

The partnership between COMELEC and Miru Systems has been under close scrutiny, with public and political interest focused on ensuring the reliability and integrity of the election process.

COMELEC has assured the public that all machines and related equipment will undergo stringent testing to guarantee accuracy and prevent any issues during the elections.
