Senator Lapid Ramps Up Aid Distribution in Flooded Bulacan Towns
Flood assistance continues as Senator Lito Lapid delivers aid to residents struggling with severe flooding in several towns in Bulacan.
A total of 1,400 families in Calumpit and Hagonoy received relief goods from Lapid on Thursday, Aug. 27. Lapid said that even small assistance can help provide temporary food support for residents of Hagonoy and Calumpit.
Earlier, Lapid also distributed relief goods to 6,000 families in Minalin, Macabebe, Masantol, Candaba, Sasmuan, and Guagua in Pangasinan.
“Sa panahon ng kalamidad, kailangan ng ating mga kababayan ang pagkalinga at malasakit. Patuloy po kaming maghahatid ng tulong sa mga kababayan natin nangangailangan. kasi naghahati kami ni Mark Lapid, yung anak ko. Doon sya sa malalayo dahil bata ka pa. Dito ako sa malalapit yung lubog-lubog dito dahil senior citizen na ako,”
(In times of calamity, our people need care and compassion. We will continue providing assistance to those in need. Mark Lapid, my son, handles far‑flung areas because he is younger, while I cover nearby flooded areas since I am already a senior citizen.)
Families who received timely food packs expressed gratitude to Senator Lapid, saying the assistance was a significant help to their households. Lapid is also set to deliver aid to residents affected by landslides and flooding in La Trinidad, Benguet, and Baguio City this coming Monday.
