POGO-related kidnapping case is now being investigated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) as a possible motive behind the abduction and killing of Filipino-Chinese businessman Anson Que and his driver Armanie Pabillo.

According to PNP Spokesperson and PRO III Director PBGen. Jean Fajardo, authorities are looking into the possible connection of David Tan Liao and other persons of interest to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) activities.

Initial findings suggest that the suspects behind Que’s abduction and murder may be linked to criminal operations involving POGO networks.

During a search of Liao’s residence, police confiscated several computers and electronic devices suspected to have been used in running scam hubs and other POGO-related operations.

Authorities suspect the house may have served not only as a crime scene but also as a mini POGO hub.

The seized gadgets will undergo forensic examination to determine if they were used for online scams or any other illegal POGO activities.

Additional evidence now in police custody may further implicate Liao as an operator of a kidnap-for-hire syndicate reportedly paid by financiers to eliminate victims.

The PNP, together with its Anti-Kidnapping Group Unit, is currently documenting all recovered evidence to identify and apprehend the individuals involved.
