According to Cacdac, 12 male detainees were released at 2:00 AM Qatar time, followed by five female detainees at around 4:00 AM.

He explained that the release was the result of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure the swift release of the detained Filipinos and provide them with legal and welfare assistance.

Three minors who were arrested alongside the group had already been released earlier by Qatari authorities.
