Illegal POGO Operations Persist as Authorities Hunt for Fugitives

Illegal POGO operations continue in the Philippines as authorities struggle to capture fugitive POGO bosses, according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).

PAOCC Executive Director Usec. Gilbert Cruz stated that many POGO workers and leaders remain at large, which could be the primary reason for the persistence of small-scale POGO hubs.

Authorities have discovered POGO hubs operating in resorts, condominium units in Pasay, and even underground parking areas.

Another alarming factor is the steady supply of high-quality equipment, including firearms, which POGO operators are now able to acquire, posing a serious threat to law enforcement.

This is a sign that operators have once again studied the weaknesses of authorities conducting raid operations, Cruz noted.

Luxury vehicles linked to POGO hubs also indicate that these operations are still receiving high-quality resources from their main suppliers.

Despite these challenges, Cruz expressed gratitude that some of the major illegal POGO hubs have been dismantled and assured that raids will continue to track down small-scale operators hiding in the country.
