Patuloy na nakikipag-ugnayan ngayon ang pamunuan ng Office of Civil Defense- Western Visayas sa municipal government ng La Castellana , Negros Occidental.

Layon ng hakbang na ito na agarang maresolba ang mga usapin hinggil sa mga evacuation sites ng mga residenteng apektado ng pag-aalburuto ng Bulkan Kanlaon.

Ayon kay OCD-Western Visayas Regional Director Raul Fernandez , kinukumbinse nila si La Castellana Mayor Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan na ikonsidera ang paggamit ng Himamaylan tent city.

Naniniwala ang ahensya na maaari itong magamit pansamantala ng mga evacuees na nasa masamang kalagayan.

Batay sa datos, aabot sa walong barangay ang nahaharap sa banta o at risk.

Ayon kay Fernandez, maaaring magamit ang pansamantala ang Himamaylan tent city habang patuloy ang paglalatag ng munisipyo ng kanilang long-term plan para sa permanenteng evacuation center sa lugar.

Aniya, wala pang pinirmahan ang La Castellana LGU na memorandum of agreement kasama ng iba pang apektadong lokal na pamahalaan.
