4 Injured as Van Crashes Into Parked Truck in Isabela

Van crashes into parked truck in Isabela, leaving four individuals injured in a collision that occurred along the National Highway in Purok Villanueva, Barangay Antonino, Alicia, Isabela.

The accident involved an Isuzu truck driven by 49-year-old Marlon De Guzman of San Vicente, Jones, Isabela, and a Nissan Urvan Escapade van driven by 56-year-old Javier Ong of Compania, Tumauini, Isabela.

According to information obtained by Bombo Radyo Cauayan from Alicia Police Station, the parked truck was in the outer lane of the northbound direction when the approaching van failed to notice it and crashed into the truck’s rear.

Due to the impact, van driver Javier Ong sustained injuries along with his passengers: businesswoman Rubilyn Ong and helpers Jacinto Laman and Jr Abaya, all residents of Tumauini, Isabela.

Emergency responders had difficulty extricating some of the van’s occupants who were trapped in the severely crumpled front portion of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, truck driver Marlon De Guzman was unharmed in the incident.
