33-Year-Old Lawyer’s Death Ruled as Suicide in Cebu City

CEBU CITY – The death of a 33-year-old lawyer, who fell from the 16th floor of a building on Bohol Avenue in Cebu Business Park on Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024, has been classified as a suicide.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Cebu, Police Major Romeo Caacoy, head of the Mabolo Police Station, confirmed that the investigation revealed no one was with the victim at the time of the incident, according to eyewitness accounts from the 17th floor of the building.

The lawyer, whose name has not been released, graduated as an Accountant in 2017 and completed her law degree in 2020 from a prestigious university in Cebu City.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, particularly seeking to determine if the victim had a history of suicidal thoughts, by reaching out to her family members.
